Welcome

How does it work?

The Wright1 card, with its picture ID and magnetic strip, is similar to a debit card - you add value to your Wright1 Card Flex account, and then you can draw upon those funds simply by presenting your Wright1 Card at participating locations on campus.

You can add money to your Wright1 card Flex account on-line, at the Bursar's Fee Payment and Deposit Windows or in the Deposit Stations located in:

  • The Student Union Atrium.
  • Second Floor of the Dunbar Library.
  • Basement of the Dunbar Library.
  • Wright1 center in the Student Union.
  • Allyn Hall Service Center -- 126 Allyn Hall.
  • Wright Patt Credit Union - transfer funds from a checking or savings account.

Money in your food account or Dining Dollar$ can only be spent in food service areas. Money placed in a flex account can be spent in all locations accepting the Wright1 card, including the food service areas.

When your food service or Dining Dollar$ account reaches zero, money will be automatically taken from your Flex account, if funds are available.

Who can use the Wright1 card?

All Wright State students, faculty, staff, alumni, and affiliates can take advantage of the Wright1 card.

How can I get a Wright1 card?

If you are a valid Wright State student, come to the Wright1 center, E146 Student Union, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. If this is your first term at Wright State, you must bring your class schedule and a photo ID. Faculty and staff members only need to bring a photo ID.

Your first Wright1 card is free of charge; however, you will be charged a $10 replacement fee for lost or stolen cards.

How can I find out my card balance?

Each time you use your Wright1 card, your current balance will show on the cash register receipt or the reader display. You can also swipe your card in a Deposit Station or go to the Wright1 center to find out your balance. You may view your Wright1 card transactions through WINGS.

What do I do if my card is lost or damaged?

If you lose your card, call the Wright1 center immediately at 775-5542 (Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm), and your account will be placed on hold. If it is outside the centers normal operating hours, you can report your card lost at WINGS. In the event that someone finds your card, he or she will not be able to use the funds once your card is suspended. The replacement charge for a lost or stolen card is $10.

If your card is damaged just bring in the pieces and $5 for your replacement card to the Wright1 center. If there's a problem reading the card, contact the Wright1 center.

Can I get a refund on my Wright1 card account balance?

Flex refunds are only given with a written request in the event you permanently separate from the university.

Dining Dollars and Bonus Dining Dollars refunds are only given with a written request.  Requests for Meal Plan Release forms may be picked up at the Dining Services Office, Room W006, Student Union.  All appeals for food plan charges will be forwarded to the University Dining Services Office for final decision.

How long is my Wright1 card valid?

Your Wright1 card and the university ID card are the same. As long as you are eligible to carry a university ID, value can be added and spent from your Wright1 card.
